Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, has warned parents to always be mindful of who they entrust their children to.
This he said would save them from those who are out looking for innocent children to devour.
The appeal to the parents was prompted by a recent incident in Ogun State where a 72-year-old man, Ishola Tijani was arrested by the Police for having unlawful carnal knowledge of a 7-year-old girl in Iperu,Ogun State.
His arrest took place after the victims mother made a statement at the Iperu police station that Tijani lured the young girl into his room and had carnal knowledge of her. This statement was confirmed by the young girl.

Meanwhile, from the doctors report, it was discovered that the incident actually happened.
The DPO Iperu police station, ordered an immediate investigation, where Tijani admitted that he had carnal knowledge of the young girl.
However, the CP prior to the appeal to parents, ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Anti Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.
