16 years old Jemimah Marcus, of Angus Memorial Senior High School, Shomolu, today, Tuesday emerged the winner of the Spelling Bee Competition for 2020 and will therefore serve as the Governor of Lagos State for one day at a later date to be announced.

Miss Marcus, who hopes to be a neurosurgeon in the future, carted home the cash prize of N250,000.
Marcus is the daughter of parents who are school owners in the Shomolu area of the state.
Master Sotin Ajose of Topo Senior Grammar School, Badagry came second and won a cash prize of N150,000, while Miss Rhema Edeh of Denton Junior Grammar School, Ebute Metta came third and won N100,000 cash prize.
The competition, which started in 2001, was initiated by the former First Lady of the state, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
