Faithfulness is required in the New Year for every child who has the determination to succeed. Faithfulness is loyalty. It is devotion. It is steadfastness. It is trustworthiness, commitment, allegiance, devotion, truthfulness, dependability and reliability.
Faithfulness is when a man is remains loyal to someone or something, and put that loyalty into consistent practice regardless of any circumstances.
As children who are under the care of your parents, faithfulness is required of you to do your duties at home as it is given to you. Make your parents happy. Commit and devote your time to obey the directions given to you by your parents. They are the first point of contact for your lives. They create pathways for you so you don’t fall into a pit.
There is a saying that if you are not committed in other people’s things, you can never be committed in your own thing. The heart you use in obeying instructions from your parents is the same heart you will use in doing your things. If you are lazy in carrying out instructions from your parents, you will also be lazy in reading and studying which is your own thing for now.
You can’t be lazy and slow like Tortoise in doing things as depicted in folktales and now think you will be a Lion in studying, it is impossible. That is why you must be wary of what you sow because life itself, is a cycle. What you sow, you reap.
The word of God in the Bible in 1 Corinthians 4:2 also says; “moreover it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful. He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
Determine not to allow friends to influence you against the leadings of your parents. Make New Year Resolutions which you will write out and paste in a strategic position in your room like on your wardrobe, dressing mirror, bathroom or on your fridges.
In all, remember to be grateful to God in all you do in the New Year. Your year is blessed with all round success as you remain committed and faithful.
Happy New Year!
