Unlike their counterparts across the nation, schools in Niger State will resume learning on October 4 for the third term of 2019/2020 academic session.
According to the state government, the 2021 academic calendar will begin on January 3, 2021.
This decision, according to source, came after a meeting held by education stakeholders in the state.

The meeting resolved on 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 school calendar and concluded that schools will open and complete the third term from October 4 to December 18.
It was agreed that the third term holiday will be from December 19 to January 2, 2021.
It was also agreed that public primary and secondary schools will have morning and evening sessions.
