Lagos recognises 15 schools for adhering to Covid 19 safety protocols

Schools in Lagos State finally resumed learning on Monday after a long stay holiday due to Corona Virus pandemic.

Our correspondent in some parts of the state noticed students on their way to school with enthusiasm.

At Ojodu Berger, Ketu, Ojota, Iyana Oworo, students were noticed on their ways to schools with excitement.

Our correspondents at Ilupeju Secondary School observed students being coordinated in washing of their hands before they entered the school premises.

One of the students, Solape Taiwo, expressed joy on the resumption after a longer time, saying she was already tired of staying at home.

Meanwhile, Some private schools have been alleged floating the state government safety guidelines.

Recall that the Lagos State Ministry of Education approved resumption dates for the 2020 to 2021 school session. According to the time table, both public and private schools below tertiary level will resume the First Term academic activities on Monday, Sept. 21, 2020.

The term is expected to run until Dec.18, 2020 while the second term will begin Jan. 4, 2021 and run until April 16, 2021.
