Lagos reopens public, private schools after EndSARS

Schools in Lagos State have been ordered by the State Government to resume full operation starting from Monday November 2, 2020.

This is coming after which the schools were closed due to crisis that ensued as hoodlums hijacked EndSARS protest in the state.

According to the state government’s order, boarders in public schools are to resume on Sunday, 1st of the same month.
The development was revealed in a statement by the Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo.

According to her, 2020 has been a tough year for learning citadel considering frequent closure of schools with attendant learning disruptions faced by all children.

Part of her statement read: “We pray and hope that there will be no more disruptions in the academic calendar. However, the State Government will always regard the safety of pupils/students, parents and all staff as a matter of priority.”

She also maintained that “We recommend that when schools resume on Monday, teaching and learning should continue unhindered till the end of the term.” She added.

The Commissioner also implored students to take advantage of the school happening to meet up academically.
