Teachers Day: No national reconstruction possible without teachers
In celebrating teachers, Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, Guy Ryder, Director-General, International Labour Organization, Henrietta H. Fore, Executive Director, UNICEF and David Edwards, General Secretary, Education International, in a joint statement have said that teachers have shown, as they have done so often, great leadership and innovation in ensuring that #LearningNeverStops, that no learner is left behind.
The statement read in part: “Around the world, they have worked individually and collectively to find solutions and create new learning environments for their students to allow education to continue. This day is a reminder of the critical role teachers play in achieving inclusive, quality education for all despite the challenges that teachers have faced during the COVID-19 crisis”.
As the world celebrates them today, we at Kiddiesafricanews.com is saying thank you for making us what we are today.
